About the Author

Valerie Ozeta grew up in Highland Park, a neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. From an early age she was fortunate to travel to far away countries like Algeria, Switzerland, El Salvador, and Taiwan. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from University of California at Riverside, and a Master of Arts in Telecommunications and Film from San Diego State University.

She has worked on such films as "Mi Familia" and the much acclaimed play, "Last Angry Brown Hat." In Addition to her love of wolves, the author's greatest satisfaction comes from working with children. She now teaches (and learns from) fifth grade students in Pacoima, California.
