The
Latino community organizations listed below are focusing on education
at both the national and grassroots level. Many of these organizations
provide educational programs through their local chapters. Some provide
programs during the summers, while others serve as liaisons between
the Latino community, schools and the businesses.

National Council on La Raza
The
National Council on La Raza, administers Projects EXCEL and EXCEL-MAS,
which have developed and piloted culturally appropriate after-school
and supplemental educational curricula for implemention by Latino community-based
organizations.
