This
ground-breaking creative writing program gives kids an opportunity
to develop their own stories and display their work to a larger
audience. In partnership with educators and professionals, the
program motivates students to put forth their best efforts by
providing mentors and then creating a final product through both
print and electronic publishing. Written by kids themselves, these
illuminating stories underscore positive solutions and create
a book that highlights the power of positive action and give kids
a powerful voice in a world that too often focuses on " negative
news." These experiences empower the emerging writers, develop
their creative skills and instill confidence in their writing
abilities.
In
joining with local and state elected officials, literacy programs
and schools, we would like to invite you to participate with us
in this program. To obtain information on how students at your
school can participate please call (888) GOT-WOLF. Every student
who applies has the opportunity to be included in this collection
of inspirational stories.
Sincerely,
Valerie

"What
people have to say about Legend of the Red Wolf."
"When
I received a copy of "The Legend of Red Wolf" I planned
to read a small part and maybe just skim through, but, I couldn't
stop reading. The pull of what would happen next kept me glued
to the book. I couldn't put it down. This needs to be a series."

"As
a bilingual teacher, I am always looking for stories that combine
simle language with themes my students can relate to. This book
has it all: appealing art, peaceful conflict resolution, environmental
sensitivity, and Native Americans as contributors to modern life."
Refugio
Enriquez Oxnard, California
"Children
will relate to this thought provoking story which contains many
situations that parallel their own experiences."
Lynn Wiley Reed Eagle Rock, California
"As
a school librarian, I read many children's books. Students will
certainly enjoy this story. It contains the kind of conflicts
they are confronted with day to day, and will help them see solutions
that encourage unity and cooperation."
Lucy Romero Pacoima, California
